My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Huerta. I grew up listening to Freddy Fender, his music was played daily in our household, My father loved his music most of all. He always said that Freddy Fender was the best tejano musician ever, as a matter of fact, when my father passed away, it was listening to Freddy Fender, he died peacefully and with a smile listening to his favorite music in the world. I started playing Freddy's music again in my home after my father's passing and now my children are big fans as well. He will be missed very much, he was as much a part of my family as my father was. May God Bless his family as well as his fans. He and his music will always live in my heart.
