Freddy Fender Played the The Opry right afre my uncle Ray did. I can remember listening to it when I was 4 years old. I still have that recording, and I still listen to it.
I really liked it, wasted days and wasted nights and Rancho Grande. I used to sing Rancho Grande to my Nana. She always would always laugh. I am sure it was quite a site, a little kid shrieking "Mi Calsones" and laughing.
Music acts as a bookmark for important experiences and memories. Freddy made quite a few bookmarks for me and for that I am ever thankful. Gracias Amigo, since thats all I have left of my Nana. Just good memories.
