I grew up in the late 50's and early 60's listening to my father's 45 and 78 records of country music back home in Manila, Philippines. Then in the 70's when I was in college, my attention was caught by a record my father was playing one Sunday afternoon--it was Freddie's "Before the Next Teardrop Fall." Since then, I started a collection of country music of my own, featuring mostly Freddie Fender. I still have my collection back home in Manila.
