Just wanted to say happy belated birthday to Freddy Fender. I was a big fan growing up in New Jersey. Growing up in a north east coast city, i can't recall how came to be a fan but I was. I remember putting on a fake thick mustache at 12 years old to look like him while listening to the I'll Be There... Ran across is music recently online and downloaded my favorites again. I'm 51 now and feel like my tens listening to his sounds. Great performer.
