I can recall meeting the girl I planned to marry back in January 2003, Lily Menedez, for Mardi Gras in Austin Texas. We danced to " Before The Next Teardrop Falls" and sang it duet style. On July 15, 2003, just for the fun of it we sang "Teardrop" just how we done it the night we met. July 16, 2003 I received a call that she had passed away. I will truly cherish the fond memories I have had listening to the music of Freddy Fender and will treasure all the music that I have collected over the years. Again, my deepest condolences to the family and friends and my prayers will be with you. I will also offer up mass for Freddy and the family.
