My deepest sympathies to Freddy Fender's family. I remember my father listening to his music when I was a little girl. I was also privileged enough to see Freddy perform. It wasn't until I got older that I really appreciated the fact that there was someone out there like Freddy Fender who brought some long needed, positive attention to latinos. He will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched!!
