What I remember about Mr. Freddy Fender are his occassional visits to my uncle's weekend pachangas. I would see him from a distance but never got the courage to shake his hand. Everything everyone has written about him is the absolute truth. What wonderful and fond memories we will cherish of el Gran Freddy Fender. His music, the HAIR and that magnificent SMILE!
