You can take the people out of texas but you can never take texan out people. my famliy was born and raise in texas from nixon ,san antonio,el paso , gonzales.corpus. the list goes on and on ,we still have family out there and they still play the real soul of music ...... I know my mom & and dad are just jumping for joy now , they're sad to see him there but at the same time there telling him take our hand we will show you the way ....

Freddy 15 years ago you made me so happy, you made a special appearance at my Quincenera at the request of your old buddy Jesse my grandfather. I had the pleasure of talking with you last year at the San Manuel Casino in California, when you had the concert and brought the house down it was so great. We talked alittle about my grandfather who I lost 6 years ago and you were not aware of his death. Now you two can rejoice and sing in the heavens together. My grandfather was also from San Benito and he started his band there also (know as San Benito Alegre). I am honoured to have know such a sweet man, freddy fender who took the time to talk to me when he was actually signing autographs after his concert. You will be greatly missed by your buddies, White boy Auggie Meyers, Allen Riche, and the man from down under. You will be greatly missed but your legacy and music lives on. Thank you for all the good times.
To the Huerta familia, I know you are very proud Freddy. He filled many hearts with happiness with such beautiful songs. He will be greatly missed but will remain in your hearts forever, thank you for sharing him with all his fans. May God Bless you in this time of need.
His fan forever.

Our prayers are with you and your family. Freddy was a wonderful singer. he was good with his fans. He treated my grandma very good at one of his concerts here at the Hon Dah resort casino. he crabbed the wheeling chair and took it all the way to the front of the stage. I though it was great for him to do that. maybe the're up there talking about it. RIP Freddy always be loved and missed. Thanks Patrick Soto.

My Deepest Sympaty's for your really great loss. When i was a small child i got to see Freddy perform at the Wheeling Jamboree in Wheeling, WV. And i will never forget that performance because he was sweating so dramatically and he was singing on stage Untill the Last Teardrop Falls and a woman from the Audience threw her Hanky up to him so he could wipe his sweat off and he did but then he threw the hanky back to the woman and she caught it and then Fainted!Lol.(True Story)It hopefully brings a smile to all. For a man such as Freddy Fender would want everyone to remember him for what he was and that is One Hell of a Great Entertainer!
God Bless You!

My prayers go out to the Fender family. I love Freddy's music very much. He was such a great singer. The world is really starting to loss an awful lot of our wonderful older, good talent. Most of the newer singers out there just want to try to sound like the rest of the world and the rappers. I don't really care for alot of the newer ones out there. Not like I do the older generation of singers anyway. He was certainly one of greats. He will be missed.

When I am gone, release me, let me go... I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve, a while for me if you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call, and I will come. Though you can't see, I'll be near and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile saying, "Welcome Home"
