I am so sad to hear about freddy, I'v
listened to his music for years and love the song Before the Next Tear Drop Falls, I even love to sing it to, once I got my hair done in an affrro and one
of my friends said I looked like Freddy Fender.
My thoughts and prayers are with Freddy's family.

Thanks to Freddy (Baldemar) for so many years of soulful music. Your voice and talent have been missed from country radio for a while - - but you will be missed more so now. May God be with the family.

I loved his music.
I think the struggles he had growing up and starting his career made his music authentic and straight from the heart.
He was real and his music reflected it.
He was an amazingly talented, versatile artist whose songs were aimed directly to your heart and hit your soul along the way.
His musical stylings beautifully captured ALL of the magnificent musicial diversity and cultures that are OUR Texas!
Freddy Fender was TEJANO music, pure and simple.
He will always be with us.

Hola,
He will always be remembered all over the world.
Saludos desde Uruguay,
Ra?l J. Tejeiro

Missing you my friend. My family and I saw you many times and we were always given a great show. When my grandfather was dying of cancer, you were kind enough to send him a signed picture. I hope you two are having fun up there talking about the old days in Tejas. Take my brother, God bless and I hope your family has comfort that you are at peace, resting with the Lord. Thank you for some real good times.

 To the Fender Family:
I send my deepest sympathy's on the lose of your loved one. I recently sent an e-mail on Friday when I heard that Freddy just got released from the hospital. But now to hear that he has passed on just breaks my heart. My father always wanted to meet Mr. Fender in persona and now he will with God Almighty. My prayers go out to the whole family.
Sincerly,
Tomasa Nunez
