I just heard this morning about Freddie's passing my prayers are with his family...I grew up with his music and know my 13 year old loves his songs his music will continue forever in our home and generations to come. God Bless!

I am deeply saddened to hear the passing of Freddy Fender. I grew up in Corpus and it gave me a great sense of pride and pleasure to say that I lived in the same town as Freddy. I enjoyed seeing Freddy driving around in his old car or see him in town with his belt buckle that read Freddy. He was a very friendly fellow. I loved his songs and can remember my parents playing his songs on the record player and them teaching me to how to dance to them. His music had a great sound and I will miss both.

Thank You for all the great music You have left behind. Your life was definitely not "wasted days and wasted nights".
Thank You for the Texas Tornados who have been an inspiration for a number of bands here, in Croatia.

My Condolences, Love and Respect to Baldemar's family, my prayers are with you in this difficult time. "Freddy Fender" has been one of my hero's for a very long time and I will miss him very much. I have records of his early releases and this is one West Coast white boy who has loved this Tex-Mex and his music. Vaya Con Dios my friend.

My heart goes out to his family as well as all people whom Freddy touched with his music. He will be missed by all but not forgotten.

I would like to express my condolences to family of friends of Mr. Freddy Fender. He was a great singer, and a great person. He was a friend, and i can proudly say my family had the pleasure of knowing him. Growing up being neighbors in that poor barrio called "El Jardin". Im glad he never forgot his roots and about his hometown..he will be missed..

I too lost my dad exactly 1 year ago sunday the 15th of october.
