enjoyed the visit to FREDDY FENDER MUSEUM in SAN BENITO again this winter. it is worth the trip,is there some never released music that freddy recorded coming out any time soon? best regards to family and fans of Freddy fender.

To all, I played in a band, Saskwa Oklahoma Show Band. We went on tour as Freddys back up band and learned his music. Played several venues in California with him. Got to know him pretty well,always enjoyed sitting with him in his motel room after the gigs. Sat and played songs for hours!! Today I ran across a sombrero he signed, which I used in our shows!! Just had to share. Freddy will always be remembered!!!!!

At low times in my life Freddy Fender music got me through. He will never know how much he has meant to so many.

I was over to Wal-Mart getting a few groceries today and browsed through the music section when I spotted the Best of Freddie Fender CD. I have a collection of 50s, 60s & 70s music with about 8,000 titles. Freddie is among them but I had long since misplaced this album. Nice to have it back. I am a volunteer dj/announcer with the Mohawk community radio station KWE 105.9 FM on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory just outside of Belleville. I do a show called, "The Saturday Afternoon Rock & Roll Oldies Show. You can bet, Freddie has always been on my playlist and surprisingly enough, many listeners would call in requesting his tunes. I always told them when they did, that they had great taste in music. Personally, Freddie has always been one of my favourites ever since I heard "Before The Next Teardrop Falls." It also has a very special meaning for me as well. That, I'll keep to myself. I know, wherever good music is, Freddie will always be a part of it. I would like to thank him for being a part of some of the greatest memories of my life. Freddie....you will ALWAYS be on my playlist.

I am a music teacher in a remote west Texas town.My lesson today was about the contributions of Mexican Americans to our musical culture in the USA. I am grateful to El Bebop Kid. I saw pride in the eyes of my students and perhaps enough daring to dream big and make those dreams a reality one day. Thank you for blazing a trail, Mr. Huerta. I feel certain that you will watch over them and softly sing into their ears to inspire them....

Just found this page and reading through some of the beautiful eulogies and messages. Yes Freddy your music will live on forever in our hearts and minds. I remember when "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights " was a top hit on the charts ... loved it and still do but the 1 I love the most is "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" I attempt to sing it now and again but you did it BEST! R.I.P. No more pain and sorrow

I grew up listening and loving Freddy's music and now my children love his music also. What a loss to the world when Freddy passed, however he will live on through his music and through his loved ones. R.I.P. Freddy & thank you for the memories.

WELL THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A DRAG FOR ME SO FAR.. YOU SEE I FOUND OUT THAT THE ONE THING WE SHARED AND LOVED HAS VANISHED IT WAS THE ONE OBJECT WE BOUNDED OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH EACH AND EVERYDAY.. ITS LIKE THIS FAMILY HAD NO CONSIDERATION UPON WHAT I SAID WHEN I ASKED TIME AND TIME AGAIN FOR IT.. IT HURTS SO MUCH TO NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE A MEMOIR OF YOU BUT ITS LIKE MY MOTHER TOLD ME THEY CANT TAKE AWAY WHAT WE SHARED AND LOVED TOGETHER.. THE MEMORIES I HAVE ARE IN MY HEART AND EVEN IF THEY TRY TO TAKE THEM AWAY THEY CAN NEVER BECAUSE YOU WERE MY GRANDFATHER AND THE ONLY PERSON I LOOKED UP TO IN THIS WORLD AND STILL DO. I grew up listening to Freddie Fender and always I loved his music and his voice. He always sings with compassion and passion. You feel the music, dynamic!!! Still listening in Virginia

I love the songs and enjoy them still to day I was up must of the night last night just going thew the songs and listen to them over and over. :) :) :)

Hi Dad....thinkin of you so much more now on the holidays. The girls and I miss you very much and wish you a Merry Christmas. They love you so much. We had you singing our holiday music for us as the girls opened their gifts. Then we read your prayer for Christmas dinner keeping you as close to our hearts as possible. Love you Dad and always missing you.
