I cant beleive Freddy Fender passed away I grew up listening to his music when I was small my Grandma would play it all the time. I remember getting his autograph when he came to the Porterville Fair. You will be missed Freddy may you rest in peace.

I am so sorry to lose such a talented guy. Many times your songs have helped me over rough times. You have been seriously loved by many, many people. God bless you and keep on singing. Till the last teardrop falls.

I just found out that Freddy pasted away and I am so sad. I really enjoyed his music. I have seen him in person a few times and just loved his songs and he was a GREAT entertainer.

I will miss him

My sincere condolances to the Familia of Freddy Fender. I first heard his music when my parents, my dad being from Laredo, Tejas and mom from Houston played his 8 tracks in both our car and home. And when he got together with Flaco Jimenez, my dad went wild. He loved "conjunto" music. The acordion made his blood boil. Thanks for music Freddy and the memories. My family goes way back, My father served with your brother in the Army National Gaurd and my uncle picked cotton with you along with my aunts, the remember you always playing your guitar. RIP and may your memory live for ever trough your music and my family experiences.

I remember having listening to Freddy for the first time, I fell in love with his music. Later I found out my grandpqrents, and parents listened to him. I remember thinking we can't like the same music. But everytime I listen to his songs my heart melts. In 2007 when I get married I plan on dancing with my father to "Before the Next teardrop falls".

I'M SORRY IF I CONTINUE TO SIGN THE GUESSBOOK, BUT IT IS JUST SO SAD AND IT'S HARD FOR ME TO COMPREHEND THE FACT THAT FREDDY IS'NT HERE PHYSICALLY. BUT HE WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN MY HEART FOREVER.

I have fond memories of my Grandfather listening and singing Freddy's songs, Although we will greatly miss him, ALL of our dearly departed Tejanos are rejoicing and singing with Freddy now...

I was blessed to meet you in 1989
in Houston, one rainy morning. We had breakfast together and that day changed my life. I was already a big fan, but that day, you became a friend. You will never know how much you meant to me and to the people that you touched in your life. You encouraged me to keep on playing music and to never give up my dreams. I've never forgotten that advice. We will all miss you, but now God needs another angel and I KNOW that I will see you again someday ! Thank-you amigo, for everything.

I was saddened to hear of Freddy's passing. I remember growing up listening to my grandfather play his records. When my grandfather passed several years ago I listened to Freddy's music to bring back the good memories. Freddy will no doubt be remembered as one of the greatest voices of all time, we will miss him.

My dear friend you will be missed greatly by everyone in our family. I cherish the wonderful times we had remembering "the good old days". Your passing has left a hole in our lives.
