Our prayers are with you and your family. Freddy was a wonderful singer. he was good with his fans. He treated my grandma very good at one of his concerts here at the Hon Dah resort casino. he crabbed the wheeling chair and took it all the way to the front of the stage. I though it was great for him to do that. maybe the're up there talking about it. RIP Freddy always be loved and missed. Thanks Patrick Soto.

My Deepest Sympaty's for your really great loss. When i was a small child i got to see Freddy perform at the Wheeling Jamboree in Wheeling, WV. And i will never forget that performance because he was sweating so dramatically and he was singing on stage Untill the Last Teardrop Falls and a woman from the Audience threw her Hanky up to him so he could wipe his sweat off and he did but then he threw the hanky back to the woman and she caught it and then Fainted!Lol.(True Story)It hopefully brings a smile to all. For a man such as Freddy Fender would want everyone to remember him for what he was and that is One Hell of a Great Entertainer!
God Bless You!

My prayers go out to the Fender family. I love Freddy's music very much. He was such a great singer. The world is really starting to loss an awful lot of our wonderful older, good talent. Most of the newer singers out there just want to try to sound like the rest of the world and the rappers. I don't really care for alot of the newer ones out there. Not like I do the older generation of singers anyway. He was certainly one of greats. He will be missed.

When I am gone, release me, let me go... I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve, a while for me if you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call, and I will come. Though you can't see, I'll be near and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile saying, "Welcome Home"

Freddy, your music has and will always be an inspiration to me. As a little girl, my two favorite records were Connie Francis and yours. I think I drove my parents crazy singing and playing your songs over and over.
May you share your beautiful voice with the Angels. God Bless and my condolences go to your family.
Blessings,
Diane

I would like to send my Blessing for the Family. He had good Spirits and he had a good Soul. A sweet story: My Grandparents met Freddy in the 70's and they said he was so nice! He signed an album that featured alot of Freddy's original raw band sounds and the original Wasted Days and Wasted Nights and it sounded better than the major label version because it was a live sounding recording! I LOVE the whole album and pay it to this day!!!I am sure my Grandfather struck a good conversation with him! haha! I love it! When I was young and saw this album, I saw his Fender guitar and I actually thought that was wild how his last name was the same as the guitar. DeJa VU! I give all of my love to the family and I hope you all can be happy as for Freddy would really enjoy seeing you all smile and feel that his Spirit is there. Peace with you all.
Sincerely,
Anthony Frederick

I feel honored and priveledged to have had the opportunity to play with freddy and a chance to see a smile that would light the night sky when he sang or played. Now the last teardrop has fallen and an american icon in music has been forever silenced by the ages but i will see you again some day compadre when i get there we will sing and play and praise the lord together. my deepest sympathies are with you and your family Vangie for me your husbands music and life was a blessing from god and his music kept me alive may God bless and keep you allways.
