I am a former drummer and band manager from many of Freddy Fenders' European shows. Please pass on to Vangie and her family my condolences and to know that I will miss my friend deeply, but will always remember the great times on the road, where Freddy always kept us rolling with laughter at some of the best jokes I ever heard in my life.

I knew Freddy when I played Country Music around Philadelphia and New Jersey. Saw him again in Branson. He will be missed by all of us. I share in the Feelings his family must feel. The last "Teardrop" is ours because Freddy is up there in Hillybilly Heaven with all the big Stars and those in his family who already reside there. May God bless you Freddy.

as a young musician growing uo in sacramento ca , i heard freddy fender 's wasted days and before the next teardrop falls, man i was totally infacuated with mr. fender's style and voice, i made up my mind that i wanted to sing like freddy and his music was my inspiration. now over 40 years later i still sing before the next teardrop falls and wasted days and wasted nights with all my heart. i still had an 8 track tape i wore out in my 58 chevy. freddy you were a powerful difference in my life ,that turned my world to music instead of negative ways. thank you freddy and please say hi to my mother and sister you'll know them , they were also big fans of yours, when ever i played at music events my mom would tell everyonr there, that's my son! she was very proud pf me when i sang your songs freddy.. rest in peace my dear primo.. manuel huerta gutierrez baker city or

A couple of months I just introduced your music to my seven year old who is becoming a music lover, enthusiast and performer. As a latino, your music and love for music is important that is listened to and appreciated.
Your music will live on, thank you and may god be with you and your family allways.

Freddy, I feel like I have lost a member of my own family. So many years of listening to you. I meet you years ago at Beach Bend amusement park in bowling green ky at a concert you gave. I sat on the grass and watched and listened to you and your music moved me so much. After the concert you came off the stage and shook my hand and I'll never forget it. I have waited a long time for a new release from you, now that dream is gone. My heartfelt condolence to your family. I hope your next concert is in Hillbilly Heaven. I also hope you are inducted into Country Music Hall of Fame. Voya don dias Freddy.

I have memories of being at the Fresno Fair with my 2 year old daughter and my mom to see Freddy Fender. As he was performing he waved at my daughter. She still remembers and loves Freddy just as we all do. She's 30 now. I thank God for the allowing Freddy to bless us with his voice, music and pride. My prayers are with his wife and family. God bless.
