A couple of months I just introduced your music to my seven year old who is becoming a music lover, enthusiast and performer. As a latino, your music and love for music is important that is listened to and appreciated.
Your music will live on, thank you and may god be with you and your family allways.

Freddy, I feel like I have lost a member of my own family. So many years of listening to you. I meet you years ago at Beach Bend amusement park in bowling green ky at a concert you gave. I sat on the grass and watched and listened to you and your music moved me so much. After the concert you came off the stage and shook my hand and I'll never forget it. I have waited a long time for a new release from you, now that dream is gone. My heartfelt condolence to your family. I hope your next concert is in Hillbilly Heaven. I also hope you are inducted into Country Music Hall of Fame. Voya don dias Freddy.

I have memories of being at the Fresno Fair with my 2 year old daughter and my mom to see Freddy Fender. As he was performing he waved at my daughter. She still remembers and loves Freddy just as we all do. She's 30 now. I thank God for the allowing Freddy to bless us with his voice, music and pride. My prayers are with his wife and family. God bless.

A unique man with a unique voice, music, message who led a unique life. His songs stir my emotions now just as they did when I first heard them years ago. Go with God, Rest in Peace. We will miss You but, we will still always have Your music. Thanks.

Just this Saturday, we were being entertained by someone singing Freddy Fender's song at my grandparents' 60th anniversary party. I was shocked to hear the news this morning.
Thank you, Freddy, for providing music that I linked to childhood memories of my father (who died in 1981) singing, "Wasted days and wasted nights, how I left for YOUR BEHIND". He was an immigrant from Mexico, and tried to improve his English through your music!

The first time I heard Freddy's music my heart sang with joy I asked my daddy who was singing the pretty music? my daddy said "It's the great Freddy Fender,a Mexican-American singer just like you.I said "Wow,he sing's really good, can we get one of his cd's?"the very next week when I came home from school,I saw a package and so I opened the package and there it was!The cd I wanted. You see I was ten at the time and my friends listened to "RAP" but I prefer "old school music" but some rap I like. So go Freddy,go with "GOD" or as we say in Mexico "vaya con DIOS."
