My Grandmother took me to see you freddy in 1975 I was 7 years old. She died a year later but She started me in a musical journey of own and dident even know it then. I never forgot your beautiful song "before the next teardrop falls. I played it this morning and a teardrop did fall I will forever miss you and I pray for you and your family. God bless freddy.

America has really lost a true musical icon. One that crossed both sides of the American and Hispanic community and one that has made the Hispanic community proud. May God bless him and his family. Freddy will be missed dearly. I grew-up and his music. When I was young we use to rodeo alot and after the rodeo we would go to the pit-grill in Orange and Dad would give me money for the jukebox and the first songs I would play was all the Freddy Fender songs that was on the box. Freddy Fender was a staple in my music collection throughout my entire life. I remember listening to him at the age of 5 or 6 with my Mom and Dad and now I am 37 and still listen to Freddy! He will be missed! What a wonderful human being..............
