Many fond memories of listening to Freddy's music. I am sorry I never knew him personally and it is truly a sad day for all those who loved his music. Our loss is Heaven's gain, my sympathies to his loved ones.

I lived in Los Fresnos, Texas for many years and I remember seen you several times in San Benito. May the Lord keep you and bless you allways. You were a true inspiration for many and opened many doors not available for Mexican- Americans in the US. I am proud to have lived in your time....Rest in Pease Mi Amigo Fiel....

Freddie, I came from the Valley and I sure will miss your singing. I was in San Benito(your home town) in March and went to visit your street, I love what they did with your picture on the water tower, I hope that now that you passed they will not take your picture off it. It should be there to remind people that good things do come from the Valley. We will all miss you. Our prayers are with your family.

The man who gave a face and a voice to Mexican American Immagrants will truely be missed by all. He over came any barrier that was in the way for immagrants to succeed in our country. Thank you for your great gift to all of us.

I remember Freddy once saying that if all he ever got from the success of Before the Next Teardrop Falls was a new refrigerator for his Mom he would be happy. His gentle humility touched me since that time and touchs me still.

What a Texan!!!

It is always hard to say goodbye to a great one in our lives. Freddy's music brought hispanic culture to my home and for that I thank both him and his family. His music is among the best ever recorded and his dream of being in the hall of fame should be granted immediately. I will truly miss him.

With teardrops falling, it feels like a piece of my past had died again (27 years ago, my dad died when he was 40). When I think of you, it fosters fond memories of my childhood and my papi. Thank you for your advocacy and pride in who you are. God Bless you and your family. C
