I never got a chance to meet Freddy in real life. However, just knowing my father in law and the great relationship those two shared says a lot. I have heard so many great things about Freddy and his friends. I was honored to take part in the Freddy Fender Benefit Car Show. I know his is missed by many.

My name is Ruben Rivera, four years ago today, Freddy went to be with the lord. I thank God for the time that we had together. He was a great blessing in my life. It was an honor to have been the one to get to restore his Motorcycle for the Museum. I praise God that he attended the Mighty Warrior's of God ministry once a month.

It was a lot of fun being around Freddy. He was always a great encouragement to people that got to meet him. I will always remember him because of his sweet spirit. He was always able to get a laugh out of me no matter how down I felt. He never let his popularity go to his head. We could sit around for hours or days or weeks talking about anything. He was very down to earth and had a humble spirit.

Even though I greatly enjoyed our time together here on this earth. When it is my time to go and be with our Lord I know Freddy will be there and we will meet again.

I think about you everyday Dad and miss you even more with every year that passes. Although my heart aches because i feel that we have missed out on sharing so many moments together....i sit and remind myself that you are still here with us and in our hearts. With our Lord we are still able to share so many things. Me and the girls love you very much Dad and will forever keep you with us.

Today is another anniversary of the day the music stopped...yet ,Freddy Fender is Amungst the Stars such as he was here in this lonley and sad world; since he has been gone . Today as in every day father, I rejoice and thank our Lord "Jesus Christ" that he blessed our lives with your presence. I can picture your smile and hear your voice vividly as I reminisce throughout the day; and it soothes my soul to know that one day I will see you again standing beside Our Lord Jesus in Heaven.

It's so hard to Believe that Freddy has been gone now for so many years ,seems like only yesterday I was standing next to him playing his yellow strat Guitar AT Wild Horse Casino In Pendleton Or In 1997,He must have signed over half of his fans photos ,when He signed 10photos,20 tickets ,and my old Vinyl album of his greatest hits without hinting that he was exhausted after a 3hour concert. I remember him when he was young and a country sensation..the forerunner of all others of his genre that made it possible for them to have a career in the field, too. In remembrance of him today, I will never forget Freddy and his contributions.

My heart is full of sorrow at the passing of Freddy Fender.

Freddy was a huge icon in the music business.

Freddy died of lung cancer. Before Freddy died I tried in vain to make direct or indirect contact with him. There is a product I have that would have reversed that cancer in about three months. I do not sell the product, however, anyone can buy the product from the same place I do. It is very low cost.

I am SO SAD I could not relay the information to Freddy. Maybe I can still help you or one of your loved ones. I pray I can.

My first professional engagement as a bass player was playing Rock covers to mostly Texan soldiers on an American air-base in Wiesbaden in Germany, in our free time we would collect hamburgers and fries left behind in the canteen and invariably listen to (you guessed it) Freddy Fender's music coming from the jukebox. I'll never forget that experience, my first real taste of country music. His songs still move me to tears. Te quiero mucho Freddy. Descansas en Paz xx

I have always, and still do, enjoy listening to Freddy Fender. His music seemed to come so easy to him, and to be so heartfelt.

The world misses a wonderful person without him here with us.

I have listened to Freddy since I was a little girl, he was my Aunt's favorite. I lost her suddenly 16 years ago, but listening to his music makes me feel close again. He will always have a spot in my heart and on my I Pod.

I was lucky to see Freddy Fender perform at Merle Haggard's Silverthorne Resort in the 80's. It was great. I worked the crowd, my second husband was
campaigning.
I am dreaming of a memorial for my first husband here in Shasta County at his gravesite. I would like permission to add honorable mention to Freddy Fender for his love-songs.
