I have very fond memories of playing Freddy Fender songs within my home in Brownsville, Texas when I was just a boy. Freddy was a big influence in my life.
I will be recording a version of Wasted DAys and Wasted Nights on my next music album in dedication to Freddy and my father, who was also a fan.

 i don't know why i hadn't heard that you died freddy... i was just at youtube and listening to clay walkers version of "when the next teardrop falls" and it took me back to the day when you made that such a classic... after listening to that i listened to all your songs on youtube.. What a music - for all occassions; my mom loved to go to sleep with his music and I still love all his music.
With the latest techonology in this world, I would like to suggest to cell MP3 cds with all his albums; or get a package of 10-15 or 30 cds together and sell them - I would gladly buy all his albums.

Freddy, You are missed daily. Im a truck driver and i listen to your music daily just are i did when me and my dad did when he was alive. You are a guy with a heart of gold and i know you are playing your beautiful songs up there in heaven. Its not many singers that would take time to sing a song for me and my father in a gas station. Hi there, i am trying desperately to get my hands on one of freddy's cd but i cant remember what it's called.... it has a purple cover and song 1 id before the next tear drop falls #2 is wasted days and wasted nights and #7 is silver wings........
