This was a part of my life that only my Grandmother on my Mothers side would only understand. Freddie Fender was a sex god at that time that no woman could resist. He had a voice at the time that made life seem less stressful and made every woman feel that she was understood and appreciated.

Dear Vangie and family, I know that today you'll be giving thanks for all the wonderful memories you have of your beloved Boldemar. I know that he'll always be in your hearts and in your thoughts daily. I pray that the love he had for his family will give them the strength to cope with life without his presence. I know he watches over them and wishes them a long and happy life. To Baldemar and his wonderful family I want to say Vaya Con Dios always. P.S. I know it's silly but I can't stop the tears as I type this letter. I only spoke to Baldemar four times and yet he touched my heart. I can only imagine the heartache his family faces daily. I HOPE HIS FANS WILL BE THERE FOR THEM ALWAYS.

What an amazing voice Freddy had. I still remember my parents playing the old 12 inch records back in the 70's. Heaven has a new angelic voice in the sky. Por siempre tu voz nos cantara tus inovidables canciones!

I miss the voice that rings in my ears when i go into the house where i spent most of the time. My grandfather was my hero my savior and my mentor. I don't think that I could have made it this far without him right there beside me to lead me in the right direction. I just miss him and know that there's nothing that I can do to prevent him from coming back.

OMG, I didn't even realise that you had passed away. I just love you to bits. I found this site by accident, or maybe it was meant to be. I'd been listening to "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" and thought I'd check the internet to see what more I could find out about you. Several years ago I was so excited that you were coming to New Zealand, however that never eventuated, so had to be satisfied with just playing your tapes and now cds and dvds.
