My dear Father In Law. It's been 2 years now, and even though you are no longer on this earth, your sweet memory remains. Your kind words of wisdom, your funny jokes, your laugh, is etched in my heart forever. You took Billy in as your son, you accepted me as your daughter in law. Even after Billy's passing, you still wanted Little Billy and I in your life. I don't think anybody else would do the same. That's the kind of person you were... kind, loving, and giving. I cherish the time I was privileged to spend with you. I miss you so much, it hurts!
As you wrote on Billy's tombstone... this also is for you- "ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS! FROM LILLIAN AND WILLIAM AND ALL WHO LOVED HIM!"

Father,
It's been a painful two years with out you; and each passing day I can still hear your voice and laughter. I have thought about what to write all day...all year. Yet, here we are again with another year gone by without you but loosing you still feels so recent. These two years have been hard and painful. The girls and i miss you so much and with every passing day and holiday i find it harder to be strong and harder to hold back the tears. The girls are finally starting to cheer up and i guess thats what makes it hard for me because i have held it together for them to this point and my own greiving is taking its toll. You were a great father and the best grandfather, the girls were so lucky to have you in their lives i only wish it could have been a little longer we were not ready but i guess no one ever really is. I tell the girls and myslef that you are beside God now and your soul at peace. I will never let the girls forget you and i think about you always. I love you Dad!

Freddy!!!! you made such an impact on many peoples lives with your music. I know for sure you left your mark on mine. Lots of people have come and gone in the music world, but not many can say they have been there for five decades. You are a legend and always will be Freddy. It has been a pleasure listening to you for all of those years. May your God hold you in the palm of his hand. Kindest Regards Mick.

I got the privledge and honor to share the same stage as freddy fender back about a year ago here in albuquerque new mexico when he did the opening act for al hurricane and al hurricane jr at the route 66 casino I took pictures with him and hung out in his dressing room before and after the show. Freddy was such a great guy and loyal, I still have the poster that route 66 made of Freddy Fender, Al Hurricane, and Al hurricane Jr on my garage wall!

Hey Paul. How about showing respect for the man's family who read this everyday.
Sorry Tammy that you have to put up with
persons like such.
I'm looking forward to see your finished work on your dad's bio.

I am writing a biography on my father so we all can enjoy him all over again as many times as we wish including those who never have heard of him.
I am working very hard and hope to bring some joy to all of us again.
I know your pain. I will do my best to take some of those tears away as I bring you my father Freddy.
Many Blessings

I was so sad when I heard of Freddy's death at such a young age. I remember when I was around 16 years old, my mother and father took me to a concert to see Freddy Fender. I even had a picture getting a "kiss" from him!! I loved his music then and I still love it now. His voice was so beautiful. As a matter of fact, I just danced with my 9 mo. old granddaughter, Jessa, to one of my favorite song, "Secret Love". She just loved it. Freddy will always be a part of my life. Thank you for your beautiful voice.

While I was working at sea for 32 years, freddy's cheered me up when i was homesick amd kept me going. Then later in life when i was disabled out, and my forst divorce came, i constantly played when the next teardrop falls, and that helped me through it. Now I am maried to a wonderful american lady over here, and still listen every day to freddy's music to try and forget my many illnesses and carry on. I wish Freddy could come and do concerts in the uk, preferably close to here as i can not travel far, but i gues i won;t get th chance to se him live now. I would liketo thank you freddy for all the times your music gave me hope, comfort and great great pleasure ( which it still does of course). I pray that you and your amily continue to lead a happyand healthy life and may god bless you for your gift of great happiness that you have shared with so many people

HI GRANDPA,
I MISS YOU SO MUCH BUT GUESS WHAT IN TWO WEEKS I'LL BE 18 AND I'LL BE ABLE TO DRIVE. BUT IT WONT BE THE SAME BECUASE YOU WONT BE NEXT TO ME IN THE CAR. I REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO GET GO IN YOUR CAR AND DRIVE AROUND, AND YOU PRETENTED WITH ME THAT THE RED CAR WAS MINE. WE HAD FUN IN THE CAR EVERYDAY I WOULD ASK HOW "MY CAR WAS DOING" YOU WOULD SAY YES BUT IT NEEDS A WASH AND I WOULD LAUGH ABOUT IT. THOSE WERE THE DAYS BUT I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU AND NEITHER WILL THE REST OF THE FAMILY.
I LOVE YOU
ALWAYS AND FOREVER

I have been traveling to see Freddie for years. His music holds a special place in my heart and I do not know what I would do without him. Much love from the Fredheads here in NoVA.
