I miss the voice that rings in my ears when i go into the house where i spent most of the time. My grandfather was my hero my savior and my mentor. I don't think that I could have made it this far without him right there beside me to lead me in the right direction. I just miss him and know that there's nothing that I can do to prevent him from coming back.
Love you grandfather
always and forever

My God!! I too did not realize that you left us. I recently ordered and received a CD of your greatest hits to replace one that I had lost. I have been listening to your songs for hours, and I wanted to check the internet to see what you were up to. I was absolutely shocked and saddened by your passing. God bless you and keep you Freddie!

OMG, I didn't even realise that you had passed away. I just love you to bits. I found this site by accident, or maybe it was meant to be. I'd been listening to "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" and thought I'd check the internet to see what more I could find out about you. Several years ago I was so excited that you were coming to New Zealand, however that never eventuated, so had to be satisfied with just playing your tapes and now cds and dvds. God bless you always Freddie.

My dear Father In Law. It's been 2 years now, and even though you are no longer on this earth, your sweet memory remains. Your kind words of wisdom, your funny jokes, your laugh, is etched in my heart forever. You took Billy in as your son, you accepted me as your daughter in law. Even after Billy's passing, you still wanted Little Billy and I in your life. I don't think anybody else would do the same. That's the kind of person you were... kind, loving, and giving. I cherish the time I was privileged to spend with you. I miss you so much, it hurts!
As you wrote on Billy's tombstone... this also is for you- "ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS! FROM LILLIAN AND WILLIAM AND ALL WHO LOVED HIM!"

Father,
It's been a painful two years with out you; and each passing day I can still hear your voice and laughter. I will never forget the day your pain was freed and your soul left the bounds of earth to be in the loving arms of Jesus "No more Pain my Sweet and caring Father" No more Pain" I LOVE; AND WILL
ALWAYS MISS YOU PAPA!

I have thought about what to write all day...all year. Yet, here we are again with another year gone by without you but loosing you still feels so recent. These two years have been hard and painful. The girls and i miss you so much and with every passing day and holiday i find it harder to be strong and harder to hold back the tears. The girls are finally starting to cheer up and i guess thats what makes it hard for me because i have held it together for them to this point and my own greiving is taking its toll. You were a great father and the best grandfather, the girls were so lucky to have you in their lives i only wish it could have been a little longer we were not ready but i guess no one ever really is. I tell the girls and myslef that you are beside God now and your soul at peace. I will never let the girls forget you and i think about you always. I love you Dad!

Freddy!!!! you made such an impact on many peoples lives with your music. I know for sure you left your mark on mine. Lots of people have come and gone in the music world, but not many can say they have been there for five decades. You are a legend and always will be Freddy. It has been a pleasure listening to you for all of those years. May your God hold you in the palm of his hand. Kindest Regards Mick.

I got the privledge and honor to share the same stage as freddy fender back about a year ago here in albuquerque new mexico when he did the opening act for al hurricane and al hurricane jr at the route 66 casino I took pictures with him and hung out in his dressing room before and after the show. Freddy was such a great guy and loyal, I still have the poster that route 66 made of Freddy Fender, Al Hurricane, and Al hurricane Jr on my garage wall!
