Thanks for this web sight. I was always very fond of Freddies music as I have all of his albums. I heard him on satelite radio as I was driving to work this morning and couldn't resist looking him up. I would like to visit his museum someday, maybe when the new building is built. Thanks again.

I remember my mother getting to see him in concert in the late 70's. I was 5 or 6 at that time. She came home just gushing over him. We listened to him so much even I still know the words to quite a few songs. I will always remember those good-times and those memories will give me great joy in the years to come. I am going to share this story with my children when I get home.

Freddy was the greatest! All the songs he sang had meaning, the ones he wrote himsef, songs he sang that belonged to other writers and singers. His heart and soul went into all of them. Sympathy to his family.

I do love Freddy Fender´s music and his voice, and have most of his collections,
but - I really would like to get Across the borderline, Freddy and Ry Cooder.
Can anyone tell the me the name of the album ?
All the best to all fans of Freddy.
R.I.P Freddy

Everyday my grandmother picks me up from school and when she drops me off at home she says,"Goodbye Grasshopper". It makes me happy to hear her say that because when my grandfather died I felt like everything disappeared. But now that i know that he is alright and that my grandmother is calling me what he called me, I feel alive and happy. I just dont show how I feel because that's just not me.

Hey Freddy most intertainers use special lights, special sound equipment, karaoke type backup,a big production to make them sound and look Hollywood. But you can walk out there on stage, plug in your Fender Telecaster guitar, grab a Shure microphone and make people cry, smile, laugh, dance and forget their worries, all with your fabulous voice, your music style, your handsome smile, such feeling in your performances, straight from your heart, and we as your fans"Love you for that" Love you Freddy!

Freddy pops and rocks.
Wasted days and wasted nights. One great theme title for a high school prom.

You have to go a long long long way to top Freddy Fender. I grew up my mom listing to him. The man could preform like nobody else. It's a shame a legend is gone.

I woke up this morning and and am listening to a Texas Tornados CD. This is beautiful music. Thank you Freddy Fender, Flaco Jimenez, Doug Sahm, and Augie Meyers.
"The poets they all agree,
that Spanish is a loving tounge"
"But she never spoke Spanish to me"
Thank you for this wonderful tune.

As a young girl, I recall my Mom singing his songs and were engraved in my mind and grew to love Freddy and still hum his tunes to this day!
