When I was a little girl I often listened to the music of Freddy Fender through my father. He still plays his music to this day. I will forever cherish the great times that we had as a family listening and the memories that are to come when we are listening the The only Freddy Fender.....You are greatly missed!!

I just played "Wasted Days" on the radio as our number one spotlight song for this week in 1975. What a great song! I was a kid of 15 in Amarillo Texas when it came out. Listening to the AM radio, everyone from Elton John to Olivia Newton John to the Carpenters and Freddy Fender....ahhh miss those days and miss Freddy. May he rest in peace and tranquility.

Freddy's music was there when I was a little kid and it is still here, now I'm almost retired. It will stay with me till I die. He crossed language-borders and generations.
Thanks very, very much.

I just went online tonight because I was missing Freddy's voice - I only have his albums on vinyl, and wanted to get him on CD - and I discovered that this great man had passed away last fall. I am truly saddened to hear it. But I am grateful that he shared the gift of his wonderful voice & talent with all of us during his lifetime. I cannot imagine my childhood without Freddy's songs. I sing them to this day. Vaya Con Dios.
