To the Huerta Family,
I am deeply touched by the outpouring of sympathy and love for this kind man. He brought us his song and bared his soul in a way we will never forget. I first heard Freddy in the 70's with his big hits Before the next teardrop falls and Wasted Days and Wasted Nights. Little did I know that I would once again connect with him through his Texas Tornado success. His video of 1990 really brought it him to me. I know that THE WORLD MISSES HIM DEEPLY. Sincerely,
Robert Estrada
Proud Mexican American and Freddy Fender Fan forever.

I may have been one of Freddy's biggest fans. His music has been a comfort to me as i'm disabled and home bound. The more I listen to his music the more personable he has become to me. It was always my wish to meet him. My condolences go out to his wife and family. He will always be loved and missed. Love Emma

First time I saw Freddie was in El Paso/Juarez in 1960. He had a hit song, Te Esperare, out at the time. Can anyone tell me where I could get a recording of that song or the lyrics? Thank you!

Dear Vangie, Please know that I pray for you & my sister, daily. She lost her husband in July to cancer. My heart aches for both of you. Freddy lives in my heart and in his beautiful music. Thanks for this web site, I just found it today. I haven't read all the messages yet. I just finished reading the article about his experience with the angel and I cried. He was a wonderful man. God bless and keep you. Take care...Louise

I met freddy when he pulled in for gas in Palmyra N.J.after her was in Alantic City doing a show. After getting his gas he sang until the next tear drop fall for me. I have always enjoyed his music and I will greatly miss him. His music was what got me thru being deployed on the Uss America and being away from my friends and family in the 70's. He will always live in my memories and be the greatest singer to enter my ears.

Freddy Fender's music fills my heart so very much. Especialy because I was raised hearing his music, reminds me of all my Tia and Tio's drinking and dancing around the table. But over all, todo el musica reminds me of the two people I Love and I know Love each other with all there hearts-my Father & Mother. It's as if the songs he sang where written for my mom and dad. I regret not sending them to see him in concert before his passing, the chance was there and I didn't take it. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
