I am so sorry that Freddy has left us. I have loved his singing for 35 years. I was playing one of his cd's on the computer and went to his website and found out that he had died. His leaving has left a empty spot for millions of us FF lovers. What a guy!! What great music!!

I was reading Mrs. Huertas words. How Freddy never got tired of people and would leave a little bit of himself after someone talked to him. It is so true, he left me with a good feeling that I had met someone very genuine and made me feel I was important to him.
Vangie, Roses are red my love, violets are blue, sugar is sweet my love, but not as sweet as you. Freddy gave me a little bit of himself and I believe he would sing you a song of love. Happy Valentines Day.

I just bought a cd of FF and it reminds me so much of going to the laundrymat as a boy in the 70s and playing pinball with my uncle and on the jukebox there was always a FF song to play, and it is a good memory -- the kind you wish your kids could have . . .

when i was a little girl my dad would say that him and Freddie were cousins but he was meaning that becuz they were both from Texas and when you find a Texan here in Cal. you say that there your "primos" So for a long time well in to my early 20 i always thought that Freddie was part of my family. Till about 3 years a go when my Dad said that it was just becuz they were from Texas that why he called him his cousins. But from that day on i still feelt that he was part of my family. So last night when i was wathing the Grammys and it came on saying that Freddie had passed i feelt that i lost an part of my family. But i thanks God for having him in my life with his songs that my dad would sing to me "befor the next tear drop falls" is one of my fav. This song is the song that me and my dad are going to dance to at my wedding. But thank you for all your years in our life Freddie you will be missed.
love always
Nora Nu?ez and my dad Daivd Nu?ez

Just learnt last night that Freddy had passed. I got to meet him about 2 years ago at a camping rally where he was the guest singer, and what a beautiful person. His music will be with us forever.

I sit here watching the 2007 Grammy Awards and find out Freddy had passed. I couldn't believe it, I just started crying and I cry as I write. I have only seen him once with my Mother at Sig Flags Magic Mountain in Californa. I was a little girl and it was my first concert. Ever since then I have loved his music..all I can say is he is now with my Mom singing with the angels.
He is missed
God Bless You and Your Family

I seen Freddy twice at fairs. My husband and family loved him. He always gave a great performance. On the day Freddy died, my husband happened to be wearing the hat that Freddy autographed. Not knowing, I told my husband, he started crying, we both couldn't talk. Thank you Freddy, for your beautiful music and being so giving to your fans. You will always live in our hearts. + God Bless you and your family.

I'm 43 now, but all the time of me growing up, not a day went by that my Momma didn't play a song of Mr.Fenders, no matter where we were, home, her restaurant "WolfBugers", or some place else, he was her Favorite artist.
We lost our Mom 2 years ago this June, and oh how I miss her, as I know everyone Misses Mr. Freddy Fender.
Thanks for all the Music. Robbie

Dear Vangie, I hope this Valentines day your heart is warmed by the memories of the love Baldemar always had for you. I'm sure this day was one of many that Baldemar thought of how lucky he was to have such a beautiful and caring wife. To stay home while Baldemar was on the road entertaining had to take a good and strong woman. Your life had to be lonely at times and I'm sure Baldemar knew that you were a gift from god. One that I,m sure he was very proud of. Always have that thought in your heart to take you through the rest of your life until you can one day be with Baldemar again in heavin. Vaya Con Dios from Freddys Fan and Yours Carole Canant

My Spanish wife will always be the most loyal fan as will I because your natural music supercedes much of today's music and your bi-lingual approach has earned you so many international fans.
