I seen Freddy twice at fairs. My husband and family loved him. He always gave a great performance. On the day Freddy died, my husband happened to be wearing the hat that Freddy autographed. Not knowing, I told my husband, he started crying, we both couldn't talk. Thank you Freddy, for your beautiful music and being so giving to your fans. You will always live in our hearts. + God Bless you and your family.

I'm 43 now, but all the time of me growing up, not a day went by that my Momma didn't play a song of Mr.Fenders, no matter where we were, home, her restaurant "WolfBugers", or some place else, he was her Favorite artist.
We lost our Mom 2 years ago this June, and oh how I miss her, as I know everyone Misses Mr. Freddy Fender.
Thanks for all the Music. Robbie

Dear Vangie, I hope this Valentines day your heart is warmed by the memories of the love Baldemar always had for you. I'm sure this day was one of many that Baldemar thought of how lucky he was to have such a beautiful and caring wife. To stay home while Baldemar was on the road entertaining had to take a good and strong woman. Your life had to be lonely at times and I'm sure Baldemar knew that you were a gift from god. One that I,m sure he was very proud of. Always have that thought in your heart to take you through the rest of your life until you can one day be with Baldemar again in heavin. Vaya Con Dios from Freddys Fan and Yours Carole Canant

My Spanish wife will always be the most loyal fan as will I because your natural music supercedes much of today's music and your bi-lingual approach has earned you so many international fans.

Freddy Fender Played the The Opry right afre my uncle Ray did. I can remember listening to it when I was 4 years old. I still have that recording, and I still listen to it.
I really liked it, wasted days and wasted nights and Rancho Grande. I used to sing Rancho Grande to my Nana. She always would always laugh. I am sure it was quite a site, a little kid shrieking "Mi Calsones" and laughing.
Music acts as a bookmark for important experiences and memories. Freddy made quite a few bookmarks for me and for that I am ever thankful. Gracias Amigo, since thats all I have left of my Nana. Just good memories.
-Chris

Vangie, I remember going to your BBQ's Ocean Drive home in the late 70's. Freddie would sing to my grandmother, Mamie, in Spanish. She really adored you both. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

As a native Texan I loved Freddie's music. My favorite song is "Before The Next Teardrop Falls". Listening to his music takes me back to my native Texas. As a Texan I am very proud that he was also a Texan. I am sad that he is no longer with us. Sing for the Lord, Freddy. God bless.

My mother grew up in Alpine Tx. She passed away of leukemia in 2004. But she loved Freddy Fender especially "Before the Next Teardrop Falls". When I hear it, I can remember us singing together in the car and her saying I really like Freddy Fender. Thanks Freddy.
