Freddy, in the airport waiting area so long ago, I saw the triangle with the circle around on a chain on your neck. I knew you meant to say, "Keep Coming Back". I have and I know you did, too. To those of us in AA and NA, you were an inspiration. Remember all of us at that "Great Meeting in the Sky"...and keep coming back, mi hermano.

Our love and prayers go to Freddy's family. We became instant fans when we first heard Freddy's music, "back in the days". We have an extensive collection of Freddy's music, including the CDs he warmly and graciously autographed for us during his concert in Northern California, the Summer of '05.
Freddy will be sorely missed but will remain with us, thanks to his legacy of music.
God Bless Freddy's Family.

My respects to Freddy's familia. I remember seeing him in El Jardin a place where I used to hang out by La Resaca and listening to his rolas, I myself am from San Benito. They say that angels cannot be seen but what about a star in heaven, that will be you Freddy Fender.
Sincerely,

I remember Freddie Fender from many years ago, thru my dad who was from San Benito, Texas, El Jardin..... He came out to Joliet, IL. once and sang at my uncle Jose's Club, called the "Spanish/America" Club, everyone was in awe.... Freddie knew my dad & my family, George Rodrigues Sr. for many years.. He brought alot of happy singing and dancing thru out all the years, and I felt he was so down to earth, he was like one of us..... I am proud to say I knew this GREAT TEX/MEX COUNTRY singer,,,,, the angels will be harnonizing with him..... they have a great addition....
Thank You for the memories,
George Rodriguez Jr.

WHY DID THE MEDIA NOT COVER HIS UNTIMELY DEATH IN A MANNER BEFITTING A STAR OF HIS MAGNITUDE? AS CO-CHAIR OF THE LAKEVIEW CHAPTER OF "WASTED NIGHTS" I AM DISMAYED THAT HIS LIFELONG SUPPORTERS WERE NOT GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE HIS LIFE'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
REGRETFULLY YOURS,
ASHLEY & RUDY

I grew up in the music industry, my family had record shops in Dallas and Houston. Mr. Freddy Fender was big influence in my life then as a teenager and even now as a 41 year old man. You will be missed, most regards to you and your family. God Bless

I was only about 6 or 7 years old when I heard 'When the last tear drop falls' - sang in some english and spanish, my mom played it. I love that song, but didn't know who sang it until they announced your passing on TV. Your music will last forever in people's hearts. My condolences to your family and God bless.

I do not have a large collection of Freddy's music, but I always enjoyed hearing him on the radio. When I bought my Mexican Fender Telecaster a few years ago, I named it 'Freddy', because it, too has a wonderful, soulful voice, and that indescribable beauty that is seen with more than the eyes.
