Our condolences go out to the Fender family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and may God bless you all. Mr. Fender's music was the first tejano music I'd ever heard when I was young, and it was very popular in our parts. I'm sure he's up in heaven singing away and performing his heart out.

I was deeply saddenned by your loss. As a kid my Dad had the album "Before the Next Teadrop Falls." I listened to that album who knows how many times in my life. My Dad actually lost that album and thanks to Ebay I found it again. Thank you Freddy...Vaya con Dios!

I was sad and in shock when my dad told me that Freddy had passed away. I grew up listening to his music because of my dad. Every weekend his friends and him would party at our house in el jardin listening to freddy's music. My favorite songs were If you loose a good thing, and wasted days and wasted nights. My condolences go out to the Huerta Family he introduce the world to great music and to our little town of San Benito. He will be missed but always remembered. God Bless Freddy for now you will be singing with the angels for a greater audience.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Freddy a couple of years ago at a casino in Arizona, where I was working at the time. I was lucky enough to provide the 3 hour ride to the Airport following his concert. Freddy sat up front with me, while the band members napped in the back of the van. He talked the whole way about his life, accomplishments and regrets, and his love of family. Although I was never able to see him again, I felt as though I had made a friend at the end of the trip.
My heart is saddened to hear of his passing. He is in a much better place now. My sympathy's go out to the family and the band members. God rest his soul.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult period in your lives. I have known for quite some time that Freddy had been ill and prayed for him daily. As a little girl, I remember watching him on Hee Haw and I enjoyed that very much. He had a beautiful voice and I loved singing along with his music. Freddy will be sorely missed. May God comfort you with His love and peace.

It?s a beautiful testament to Freddy and his music when you read all the sentiments of those who have experienced his music in their lives.
I remember as a child when our family would gather for the holidays my brothers would bring their guitars and amplifiers and set up in the living room. All of the seniors would be sitting on the sofas and the kids sat and gathered were they could.
My brother would start singing and playing Freddy?s songs, Freddy?s songs were family favorites being from Texas and all. Eventually you would see my dad dancing with my mom and aunts and uncles doing the same!
Freddy your music instilled a since of pride in all of us, you were like a brother and a son to so many families.
From the cotton fields to music?s Hall of Fame your life is an example of, ?Si se puede!?
God shared you with the world when you were present with us and He continues to share you with the world while you are in heaven. Your life continues to be a blessing and what a beautiful and wonderful testament to you, your music and your life!
You will be missed.

I was so sad once I heard Freddy had passed away. My deepest condolences to his family & his many fans!! I grew up listening to Freddies music with my mom & enjoyed a few dances with my hubby to his music also. Well Freddy you will certainly brighten up heaven with your beautiful smile & shake up the holy ghost in the angels including my mom. She passed away earlier this year in May & she loved your music too. Now you can serenade her in Heaven!! Vaya Con Dios Mi Amigo!!
