I first heard Freddy when I was 8 years old back in 1975. I saw him at the San Jose fair with my aunt, and afterwards at a Taste of Texas in Covina Ca. I truly do love his music, and was very sad when I heard of his illness and death. I am glad he had a close relationship to Jesus at the end of life on earth. I know the good Lord is enjoying his company and music. I play Jumbulaya everyday, no joke. I wish his family comfort in the Lord and want to thank them for sharing Freddy with the world. God Bless You and keep you.

I just listened to Before The Next Teardrop Falls with Clay Walker on his new CD. I hope you felt he did justice with the song, which included Freddy. It brought back memories of my dad singing that song when I was younger.

Przed chwilą dotarła do mnie wiadomość, ze Freddy odszedł i pozostanie nam tylko JEGO muzyka. Żal, ale każdego czeka kiedyś spotkanie z Panem Bogiem. Spoczywaj w spokoju, Twoja muzyka będzie nam towarzyszyła do końca naszych dni.

I am so sorry that freddy has passed away,he was the one that made my dad who he was before he died. he would always sit down and open him up a good cold one and drink it. while Freddy was singing.Freddy is one of the greatest singers i have always heard and was raised by.especially waisted days and wasted night is one of my greatest.i wish the family luck and all happiness, and i feel sorry for them, cause my father passed away when i was 13 yrs old,i was just a kid then.i was wanting one of freddy's signed autographs and a cd to remember him by.nobody will ever beat him.i never got to see freddy in person, but i know from the bottom tips of my heart if freddy is saved i wanna be with him someday.God bless.

My mom and I just found out about Freddy's passing. We are both so sad to hear about his battle with cancer that took his life. The year my father died in 2002 I took my mom to see Freddy in Laughlin, NV, because she talked so much about my dad taking her to see him in cooncert for many years in a row. Their song was "Tear drop" and when Freddy sang it that night, I could see many tears falling from my mom's eyes as she remembered last being there with dad. After the concert, I knew then why my parents loved to go see Freddy as many times as they did. He had a way with making everybody glow and smile as we all listened to him sing. Thank you so much for all the happy memories your husband has brought to my parents. We all love his music and he will always be remembered.

My sisters and I went to see Freddy Fender at the Key Arena in the mid 70's and when the concert was over we stood in line to take a picture with Freddy and he told me when you are all grown up I will still be around singing all of your favorite songs. And he was right!! Freddy sang all of his songs, like how he sang them at the Key Arena he sang them the same way at the Emerald Queen Casino. Thank you Freddy Fender and always be in peace. Violena

Just re-purchased a copy of the first Texas Tornadoes CD and I have listened to it over and over, it brings back so many thoughts and memories of Freddy, and Doug and Augie and Flaco, my husband is from Mercedes, just down the road from San Benito, and I am a California girl, so I was introduced to Freddy's music back in '75 when we first met, and I have been a fan ever since, whenever Freddy played the local venues, we were always there, and the look of pride always shines in my husband's eyes when he is listening to Freddy and the boys, as he calls them, it always makes him a little homesick, we miss them so much, but thank God that his music is only a "button" away. We will be attending my husband's 40th class reunion in the Valley this summer, we hope to visit Freddy's grave. God bless Freddy's family.
