I remember my mom listening to Freddy Fender when I was little I enjoyed his music then I still do today. I am not one to run out and buy the & newest music but I will purchase sound quality heartful music and that includes Freddy Fender this is the first CD I bought a CD in about 10 years and well worth the money I can listed to his music enjoy it and remember my late mother as well.
Rest in Peace Freddy Fender you will always live through the generations through your music I know I plan to have my future Grand Kids listed to his music as well.

 My condolences to the family. I will miss freddie Fender, I went to several shows of his,he spoke with me and I thought he was a very down to earth friendly person, no one can ever replace him, his style of music was original and that's why he was so loved by everyone. He was the best! He is in a better place in heaven and hopefully met my Mother by now, because she also loved his music very much when she was alive. I will always keep him alive with his music which I listen to all the time.

I will miss Freddy, I am from the valley and live in Mississippi, I have a band and we sang some of his songs in his memory at the barn yard opry in Brandon, Mississippi. He was well loved by all music lover. A legend has gone to heaven. His music lives forever as he in it.

i remember when my mom (alice) use to listen to him,and or watch him on t.v.i would stop and either lisen to,or watch him.and at the same time watch my mothers face as nothing would distract her in the least.he must have brought a lot of happness thru his songs to her.

The oldest of four kids in the family, I have been listening to Freddy Fender for as long as I can remember. My mother bought "Before The Next Teardrop Falls" in '75 and my brother still plays that same vinyl LP on his old hi-fi player whenever we have a party at his house. Now that his two year old son has started singing along as well, I don't think this family will ever stop listening to Freddy's timeless music. He will be sadly missed, but he won't ever be forgotten.

Like Freddy I was born in San Benito. I have always been attached to his music and the conjunto style. I used to use his music when I taught school in South Texas. This gringo has his music in my blood. There's no wasted days and wasted nights listening to Freddy. Vaya con Dios!
