 I will miss you!! I'm so lucky to have had the honors of attending several of Freddy's casino concerts. On my bithday Freddy actually sang Happy bithday to me and offer some great advice to my son. He told my son that drinking and getting drunk was not everything and that he has learned the hard way for him not to follow in his footsteps. Freddy you are not alone you have a friend in heaven Fernando Farias LOOK HIM UP !!!! rest in peace LOVE ALWAYS

I grew up listening to Freddy Fender on 8 tracks and tapes. My father had the pleasure and honor of singing with him in his early years. My dad live a few blocks from Freddy in Corpus Christi. His music will love on.

It is with great dismay that I have when I learned of Freddys passing, I am sad but that he has gone to heaven but can always be happy when I listen to him sing and play. He always was and will be the great singer and performer.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Huerta. I grew up listening to Freddy Fender, his music was played daily in our household, My father loved his music most of all. He always said that Freddy Fender was the best tejano musician ever, as a matter of fact, when my father passed away, it was listening to Freddy Fender, he died peacefully and with a smile listening to his favorite music in the world. I started playing Freddy's music again in my home after my father's passing and now my children are big fans as well. He will be missed very much, he was as much a part of my family as my father was. May God Bless his family as well as his fans. He and his music will always live in my heart.

This white girl's earliest memories are of my mom who passed away in 1990, listening to freddie fender's music. she absolutely loved it. I married a mexican man, and we love listening to the timeless music. We saw Mr Fender in concert 3 years at the casino in Tunica MS. Wonderful each time. Im sorry for your loss, but he will live on in his music, my teenagers know every word in Spanish and English. God Bless the family in your time of loss.. We mourn with you.
