Wow I can not believe we have lost a man such as a wonderful spirit as Freddies alot of people such as myself sang to his music and when he sang spanish we may not have understood what he was singing but in my heart I do know it build a bridge between the redneck country community and those of the hispanic community.
God bless you Freddy Fender and rest in peace and keep on singing because when I get to heaven I want a front row seat at your concert in the sky.

i saw freddy in stockton ca. back in 86
and it was the best show i have ever seen period. it was freddy who inspired me to sing rancho grande it has been a huge sucsess for me where ever i go.

I only just heard and am deeply saddened. It was only this Saturday that my band decided to play 'Wasted Days And Wasted Nights' and 'Before The Next Teardrop Falls' on a whim, but now I think there may have been something more to it. Thank you so much for all the music and memories, Freddy--you are going to be greatly missed.
