I remember especially one time when You all came to Magic Mountain here in California. Dad would tell me of times He and Freddy spent in their younger years. Freddy remembered my Granfather (a.k.a. I remember seeing Freedy at The Moose Lodge back in the early 90's. It was a great concert. We took pictures and everything. My Parents use to play his records when we were growing up. I will never forget him. My heart goes out to your family. God Bless. Rest In Peace.

What I remember about Mr. Freddy Fender are his occassional visits to my uncle's weekend pachangas. I would see him from a distance but never got the courage to shake his hand. Everything everyone has written about him is the absolute truth. What wonderful and fond memories we will cherish of el Gran Freddy Fender. His music, the HAIR and that magnificent SMILE! Freddy would probably want us to SMILE and be HAPPY. To Ms. Vangie and family, our prayers are with you at this difficult time. God Bless You.
