May God bless the family & friends of Freddy and keep you close to him in your time of sorrow. He was an influence in my music, my grandparents play his stuff all the time. Now he sings in a greater place where " Silver Wings" takes on a whole new meaning. I sure the Texas Tornadoes will miss him as well.

To Freddy's Family... May God bless you all and comfort your heartache as well as ease your minds in knowing he is in a better place and not suffering anymore.
My aunt was one of Freddy's biggest fans and i know she will be smiling in heaven, growing up as a little girl i remember my aunt playing his records and just listening to him sing.
I had the honor of taking my aunt to see freddy at the House Of Blues on the sunset strip and just seeing the smile on her face made me happy.
May God be with you all for the music world had truly lost a great artist....

From my childhood, I will always remember "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights". Freddy rocked. 30 years later, I still enjoy his songs. This is a sad day for American music.

Oh, It's crying time again, Freddy Fender, a singer I was so proud of, because he could sing in spanish and english. I was a kid when I first heard it, and I will always keep my memory of him and his music in my heart. You will truly be missed. You can only be in a better place.

my deepest condolences to the Huerta family and closest friends from the Istre family. I can recall meeting the girl I planned to marry back in January 2003, Lily Menedez, for Mardi Gras in Austin Texas. We danced to " Before The Next Teardrop Falls" and sang it duet style. On July 15, 2003, just for the fun of it we sang "Teardrop" just how we done it the night we met. July 16, 2003 I received a call that she had passed away. I will truly cherish the fond memories I have had listening to the music of Freddy Fender and will treasure all the music that I have collected over the years. Again, my deepest condolences to the family and friends and my prayers will be with you. I will also offer up mass for Freddy and the family.

My sympathy and condolences to you Vangie, your family and for the world in the loss of Freddy.
I met you both at Ballys in Tunica, Mississippi a few years ago, and was honored to have had a chance to speak with you both.
Freddy was the ultimate gentleman and crowd pleaser playing to always packed houses...
The crowwds loved him and always wanted more...
May God bless you and comfort you always.
David

When I was 5 years old I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man while holding my grandfathers hand. As inspiring as my grandfather is to me, so was Mr. Fender. Now an Angel from above, all who love him will be watched over. May God Bless him and all of his wonderful family.
