For now he will no longer suffer in this world but will go and join his fellow musicians in heaven like Cornelio Reyna,Doug Sahm & Ruben Naranjo.

Freddy is remebered by myself as a fond memory of childhood. My birthmother use to play his wonderful music all the time! My sister and I listen to it and sit back and enjoy the memories he has helped us keep! He will be missed.

Im Sorry to hear of the loss of Freddy Fender. I have great memories of his music listening to him with my father & Great-Grandfather,That was about thirty years ago.Im forty years old now & still keep his music in my media library. I have turned his music on to my 18yearold daughter & 12year old son.His music will live on forever!

I will always remember Freddy's beautiful music. He had the voice of an angel. I have travelled great distances to see Freddy in concert, a total of ten times since 1977. I last saw Freddy perform at the Riverside Casino in Laughlin, NV in 2004. I send my sincerest condolences to Freddy's family, bandmates, and loved ones. He is gone but will never be forgotten.

In September 1999, I attended Freddy's concert with Little Joe y la Famila at the Center for the Arts in Escondido, CA. I will always treasure the memory of that particular concert because I went up to the stage between songs and Freddy held my hand and kissed it. I will never forget how great that show was, and how kind and gracious he always was to his fans.

I will miss Freddy Fender and his songs deeply. It was like he was a part of us, like you knew him forever. Always smiling. My deepest sympathy to all thee Huerta families. He was a lengend in our times. I bought his albums back in the seventys and I'll always cherish it. His legacy will forever live in our hearts especially those who knew him and listened to his songs. I rember my father listening to Freddy's music and so I grew up with it and continued to listen to it. I have several of his tapes and he will never be forgotten, He will be missed by all here. Sorry for your loss and may God be with all in this time of sorrow.

Dear Vangie, I hope that you and your kids are holding up allright. Freddy would want only the best for all of you.Would you please tell Mel that his big brother is still watching over him. That was Freddys way. I met you and Freddy and Mel at the star dedication in Corpus Christy. My aunt and I drove there from New Orleans. I could'nt afford to attend Freddys memorials but I hope to be in San Banito when they open Freddys museum. Please tell Marla thanks for the last four years of Freddys life. If not for her unselfish donation of her kidney to her father I'm sure he would not have had the last four years. I met Freddy at his fifty year party, and again three times after that. It was only because of Marla that I have those wonderful memories that I'll always have in my heart.Thank you Marla with all of my heart. Your dad will alays be Our Texas Angel.
